The University is the state's flagship research institution and offers a dynamic and supportive environment for research, teaching, and service. The School of Social Work has one of the oldest undergraduate social work programs in the United States. We have offered undergraduate social work degrees since 1940 and currently have 100 students enrolled. The graduate program offers a concentration in advanced practice from a multi-systems life course perspective. The areas of emphasis in the graduate program include: Children, Youth, and Families; Health; Mental Health; Aging; and Management, Administration, and Supervision.
The School of Social Work includes the BSW program (CSWE accredited), the MSW program (CSWE accredited), and the Academic Partnership in Social Welfare.
