Description
One Tenure-Track Position: Assistant Professor, School of Social Work, College of Health and Human Services at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This position is a full-time, 9-month appointment, with an anticipated start date of August 2026. The tenure-track position will be responsible for conducting original research that advances the School’s mission, teaching in the BSW and MSW Programs, and providing service to the School, College, University, community, and profession. The successful candidates must possess a PhD in social work or a related field or expect PhD completion by August 15, 2026. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to conduct original research, including publishing, the potential to secure external funding, and the potential to provide excellent instruction across the BSW and MSW curricula. Preference will be given to individuals whose research focuses on specialty practice areas within urban communities and health (including digital) equity. Additionally, preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate interdisciplinary team science approaches, translational research practices, and experience with interprofessional education.
